Celebrating Traditional Fantasy Adventure Art
Mystical worlds! Fearsome dragons! Brave warriors! Grotesque monsters! Creepy undead! For decades, fantasy artists have amazed, inspired creativity, and provided fuel for the imagination with their art. The significance of fantasy art cannot be understated. From providing visuals to role playing games, novels, or album covers to inspiring countless individuals to create their own worlds in video games, TV shows, and movies. Fantasy art is important.
Traditional (non-digital) fantasy artwork is especially important as the viewer experiences the art physically, allowing a personal connection with the art. Sadly, there are very few places where one can experience traditional fantasy art in person.
The mission of the Museum of Fantasy Art is to celebrate the traditional fantasy art and artists that have inspired so many and to recognize those that would not ordinarily be recognized. The ultimate goal is to open a physical location where the public can truly experience this magnificent art in person.
Famed fantasy artist and calligrapher, Darlene the Artist, created the museum's one-of-a-kind logo featured above.
